Empowering Change: Ladli Foundation's Impactful Journey towards Social Transformation

 Hello there! I'm Shreeya Rani, and I've taken on the role of an intern at the Ladli Foundation as part of their esteemed social internship program.

The Ladli Foundation, led by the honorable Mr. DevandraKr. sir, is a non-profit organization with a noble mission. Their primary goal revolves around empowering the underprivileged members of our society by providing them with access to quality education and fostering their skills.

This organization has earned itself a remarkable distinction by gaining a special consultative status from the United Nations ECOSOC. Notably, the government of India has also bestowed upon them a prestigious national award. These accolades reflect the profound impact of the foundation's social innovation initiatives, which are deeply embedded within an action research model. The ultimate aim is to promote sustainable living in alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Operating at a national scale in India, Ladli Foundation works closely alongside a team of highly skilled grassroots-level social workers. These dedicated individuals operate in harmony with government authorities to bring about substantial changes. The organization's approach is twofold: they conduct effective community outreach and implement sustainable strategies, resulting in tangible positive outcomes. Additionally, Ladli Foundation plays an active role in forging strategic partnerships. Notable collaborators include USAID and both Union and State governments within India. Their collective efforts are geared towards extending the reach of routine immunization, COVID-19 vaccination, and the eradication of tuberculosis across the nation.

A significant highlight occurred during the 65th session of the Commission on the Status of Women. At this juncture, Ladli Foundation received noteworthy recognition from the UN Secretary-General, Mr. António Guterres. This acknowledgment stemmed from the organization's passionate advocacy in the realm of women's health privatization and the elimination of child marriages. Such endeavors are instrumental in advancing gender equality in developing countries, aligned with the pursuit of SDG5.
